What to Expect:
-
Fireside Welcome: Step out of the chill and into the amber glow of the Band Shelter bonfire. Hands cup around a steaming mug of spiced apple cider, a light bite warms the soul, and the quiet magic of the farm settles over your shoulders.
-
Oil-Lamp Wagon Ride: Climb aboard. The horses step light, lantern glass glows against frosted pine boughs, old-world carols drift on the cold air, and forgotten winter tales turn the dark woods into a dream.
-
Inside the Hodge Cabin (Christmas Day Unfolding): Push open the heavy wood door right into the middle of the holiday. The family is mid-celebration, and you are stepping into a living, breathing Christmas Day:
-
4 Interactive Discovery Moments: Follow the scent of woodsmoke, baking spice, and rendered butter as you wander rooms alive with history—from the bustling farm kitchen to the hand-trimmed tree.
-
The Floating Old-Fashioned Feast: Graze and savor hearty hearthside bites and sweet confections as the evening slows down.
-
By the Hearth: As shadows lengthen, crowd shoulder-to-shoulder around the roaring fireplace. The room dims to amber coals, and the Christmas Story is read aloud, and voices lift together in a traditional hymn to remember why we celebrate Christmas Day.
-
-
Starlit Pasture Nativity: Board the lantern wagon once more, gliding past a quiet, glowing nativity scene shining out across the dark pasture.
-
Carriage House Mercantile Finale: Spill out into the merry warmth of the Carriage House. Snap a photo by the vintage sleigh and glowing boughs, taste fresh holiday cookies and cocoa, and pocket your take-home keepsake ornament—a little piece of 1800s Christmas to hang on your tree at home. There will be opportunities to shop.
